I haven’t written a post in a while so I thought I’d do a little ‘FOTD’ kind of thing. I guess this is kind of like a makeup favourites post too because these are the products I’ve been using pretty much everyday for the past couple of weeks. I hope this is kind of interesting! –

First of all, I use a tiny amount of Becca Ever Matte Perfecting Primer just on my nose and chin, applied with my fingertips. I’ve never really been big on primers but this is honestly the only thing that calms down my super-oily skin, especially at this time of year. I then use a little bit of Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation with a Real Techniques Stippling Brush– this foundation is super-pale, doesn’t oxidise and has a lovely satin finish. I’m thinking it’s probably one of my all time favourite foundations, even compared to my more expensive options. The Stippling Brush is amazing, too. I sometimes find that if I have a spot and I just try and apply foundation with my fingertips (or even the RT Buffing and Expert Face Brushes), the product will kind of settle around the spot, but not cover it. The Stippling Brush, however, is magical and creates an airbrushed but very light coverage finish. Next, I use The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in Fair to do a little bit of contouring with the Real Techniques Contour Brush. This bronzer is amazing for fairer-skinned girls because it’s matte, pale and slightly cool toned. Love. Next up is eyes, and first of all for eyes, I use the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers to sort out my poker straight eyelashes, then I work a little Maybelline Color Tattoo (review) in Permanent Taupe onto my eyelid and the blend it out at the edges with the Real Techniques Duo Fibre Eye Brush. If I’m being really fancy, I’ll then tight line my eyes with Maybelline Gel Liner and my Fash Eyeliner Brush– I’ve found this is so much better than tight lining with a pencil because it literally does not budge (but that’s nothing a little olive oil on a q-tip at the end of the day can’t fix). I then take some of Mudhoney (matte brown, review) from the Soap&Glory Lid Stuff quad on the back of my hand, mix it with a teeny tiny bit of Vaseline and then use the Fash Angled Liner Brush to add a little shape to my eyebrows. Finally, I’ve been loving a little bit of MAC Patisserie which is a beautiful pink-brown nude  (I’ve found this is perfect if your natural lips are quite pigmented for just toning things down a little) and then sometimes using a teeny bit of Soap&Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Nudist for a little bit of shine.

Holy crap this post turned out longer than I expected.

If you like this kind of post then please let me know! I was thinking of making it a monthly thing as a way to remind myself to mix up my everyday routine. Have you tried any of the products I mentioned?
